    Job Overview

    Ivie & Associates is seeking an experienced, creative Senior Photographer/Videographer to add to our studio in Katy, TX dedicated to our client Academy Sports + Outdoors. The Senior Photographer/Videographer is responsible for capturing imagery and video that reflects the Academy brand and ensures a high level of creativity, efficiency and productivity while responding to changing client needs and ensuring the highest quality of service. You will be expected to execute projects that meet and exceed the expectations of our client’s brand and product lines under the direction of Academy's Art Directors.
     
    Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial still product photography in a studio setting, along with a firm understanding of videography. Having a solid command of both strobe and continuous lighting is a must. Experience with compositing it a plus. You should be comfortable working with Canon still, Panasonic video gear and a Mac. Being adaptable to the situation and working equally well with a team or solo is essential. Critical thinking, problem solving and being detail oriented are all qualities that we’re looking for.     Responsibilities

    The Senior Photographer/Videographer is expected to:

    • Maintain a consistent high level of quality within their creative content.
    • Be detail oriented in the execution of assignments.
    • Adopt and refine process to increase productivity without decrease in quality.
    • Manage multiple tasks at the same time.
    • Assist in managing production timelines.
    • Work with the client to conceptualize creative strategy.
    • Ensure that all processes are followed with regards to workflow.
    • Maintain a positive work environment.
    • Complete understanding of photography and video equipment, workflows and software on a Mac platform.

    Qualifications

    The Senior Photographer/Videographer is required to:

    •  Maintain metadata standards used within the organization.
    •  Assist with maintaining all studio equipment.
    •  Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
    •  Perform other duties as assigned by the Ivie Studio Director.

    Education and Experience

    • 5 years of professional photography experience in a commercial, high-end, photography studio is preferred. A portfolio is required for consideration.
    • 4-year college education or equivalent in photography or video.
    • Ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
    • Production experience with a Mac.
    • Expert familiarity with digital photography, continuous and strobe lighting, video capture and non-linear editing.
    • Knowledge of technical solutions and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Have a familiarity with Canon DSLR's and Panasonic Video cameras.

    System Skills Required

    • MAC Based hardware/software systems
    • Capture One Pro
    • Photoshop
    • Premire Pro
    • Microsoft Office
    • Understanding of digital asset management, Archiving and Backup Procedures

    Travel 

    • Travel as required
