    Job Overview

    The Studio Video Editor facilitates post-production editorial & graphic work (Broadcast, Digital Video, Online/Social) following creative direction of the project director.  The Studio Video Editor interprets the creative directors story boards into graphic forms through animation and graphics.  This is relevant for TV, video and digital content creation.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Defines goals of project (corporate communication, instruction or advertising).
    • Meets scheduled deadlines for projects on a regular basis.
    • Obtains approvals based on brief and scheduling.
    • Develops production schedules memo’s, processes, etc. for projects when appropriate.
    • Gathers research for development of project and/or technical execution.
    • Organizes people, tasks, project timeline and production to accomplish scheduled project goals.
    • Maintains client’s branding in all production.
    • Maintains documentation and files for reference and resource.
    • Seeks positive resolutions to challenges.
    • Seeks and offers peers advice and assistance when needed.
    • Facilitates cooperation with team members.
    • Displays loyalty and respect to team.
    • Looks for ways to promote a healthy, interactive environment.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in communications, advertising or production.
    • Experience in Motion Video Art utilizing After Effects, Cinema 4D preferred.
    • Utilizing Adobe Suite and DaVinci Resolve preferred.
    • Experience in all aspects of video production, including shooting, editing and directing multi camera, live events.
    • Retailing experience preferred.


    Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

    • Solid communications methodology.
    • Competencies in production and the technical execution for audio and visual equipment.
    • Maintain good public relations with internal and external contacts.
    • Reflect the client’s image in public eye production.
    • Adapt to change both corporately and on location.
    • Knowledge of corporate and production environments.
    • Knowledge of production environment.
    • Demonstrate effective task follow-through (email, memo’s, phone calls and other documentation).
