    Job Overview

    The primary role of the Advertising Specialist is to graphic design new ads and to perform modifications as needed, as well as develop various signs and support materials as needed.  Must be creative and have the ability to multitask on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Expectations

    The Advertising Specialist is expected to

    • Graphic design new items in ad pages, including copy and images. Develop and use sources provided to add images and creative elements to pages as necessary.
    • Be creative and develop various signs and support materials as needed.
    • Revise ads as required through the proofing process, checking for missing elements, re-arranging copy blocks and other ad elements as needed.
    • Advise Manager on copy legibility and discrepancy issue in ad plans.
    • Understand the printing process to ensure that pages, signs and collateral are built correctly for printing.
    • Following established proofing procedures on all jobs proofing with associates as required, initial proof approval form as required.
    • Follow established check-off procedures; drop completed files to prepress Out-Put Coordinators.
    • Provide additional creative client support on special projects as needed.


    Job Requirements

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum needed - High School Diploma or equivalent, Vo-tech education with computer emphasis
    • Ability to speak, read and write in the English language
    • 3 years computer layout experience

    System Skills Required

    • Macintosh Computer skills, InDesign CS6, Photoshop , Illustrator
    • Special skills – Ad layout and production skills
    • Good spelling, grammar and typing skills


    • Travel as required
    • Temporary assignments (out-of-town)
