    Job Description
    The Creative Intern is expected to possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with the Client and Account Manager on a daily basis.  He/she should possess an awareness of Ivie & Associates’ Inc. He/she is expected to develop an understanding of the client’s competition, company goals and processes and procedures. This person must have experience working with the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).


    The primary purpose of the Creative Intern is to provide additional support and coordination, while gaining real world experience and knowledge.

    The Creative Intern is expected to, but not limited to:

    • Have an understanding of retailing structure and operation
    • Develop and manage project timelines and task list
    • Weekly Division Ad proofs - collecting electronic copies and downloading proofs for distribution to executives.
    • Weekly Compete Ads- collecting and coordinating weekly competitor ads from each Division.
    • Weekly Ad review and report- reviewing through each Division ads and major compete ads: calling out specific best practices.
    • Assisting Director with other administrative responsibilities and project management


    Education and Experience

    • Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
    • 2-3 years limited experience in account (printing) coordination
    • Desire to continue education through trade shows, seminars, special courses, etc.
    • Understanding of retail structure and operation
    • Desired experience: knowledge of commercial production, prepress and printing
    • Desired experience: knowledge of direct mail strategies and program execution
    • Desired experience: knowledge of circular production, direct mail, collateral and POS signage

    System Skills Required

    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Experience with print project management software
    • Laser printing devices
    • Basic understanding of remote conductivity to communicate with Ivie headquarters
    • Ability to learn proprietary software
