    Job Overview

    The primary role of the Account Manager is to work closely with the client to understand their marketing strategy and operational goals and

    1) Provide on-site leadership, tactical support and print knowledge to insure projects are coordinated with accuracy and follow through;

    2) Serve as key client contact for all projects and initiatives that Ivie is awarded. This includes planning, execution, and reporting for those projects.

     

    The Account Manager is expected to develop his/her experience in print project management and increase their understanding of print industry standards and practices to further meet the needs of the Client.  The Account Manager is also expected to learn and maintain knowledge of print capabilities including the production processes, substrates, and industry practices.

    Responsibilities

    The Account Manager is expected to:

    • Develop marketing objectives, strategies and execution for current services or prospective services that may be offered to the Client in the future, consistent with Ivie’s approved processes 
    • Develop and manage project timelines and task lists
    • Manage projects in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner
    • Multitask and prioritize tasks by urgency aligned with the clients evolving priorities
    • Set goals and achieve them by a stated date/time
    • Take an analytical approach to problem solving
    • Develop quick and creative solutions for production issues
    • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Evaluate and monitor the quality and performance of all assigned to Ivie and provided to the Client(s) by Ivie
    • Complete all job tasks accurately and on-time
    • Effectively manage key milestones of production
    • Maintain contact and develop a relationship with Client’s management
    • Adhere to established processes and procedures to insure timely and accurate delivery of Client’s services
    • Provide training, education and professional growth for Ivie/Client team members
    • Be aware of and promote new potential Ivie services with the Client
    • Keep Ivie Management informed regularly of events/issues that could impact client relationship
    • Understand and manage the execution of tasks to achieve Client’s marketing goals.
    • Think strategically and tactically to meet Client’s needs, to improve current services or to deliver new services.
    • Analyze and judge prospective projects, jobs and services for presentation to the Client.
    • Prepare presentations based on Client’s requests in order to effectively communicate.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • 4-year college education or equivalent
    • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
    • Minimum four years in Client Services or equivalent and two years in print project management 
    • Knowledge of production and prepress processes
    • Knowledge of print/paper/logistics industry practices
    • Desire to continue growth through ongoing training and education
    • Superior communication and presentation skills
    • Understand retailing structure and operation 
    • Have knowledge of variable data printing helpful
    • Have knowledge of direct mail strategies and program execution

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Marketing background strongly desired
    • Retail experience highly preferred
    • Print project management experience expected
    • Operational thinker and process-oriented mindset needed
    • Demonstrated history of Project Management ability

     

    System Skills Required

    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Experience with project management software
    • Experience with digital and mobile communications (email, cell phone)

     

     Travel

    • Travel as required
    • Temporary assignments (out-of-town)
