    Job Overview

    The Data Specialist role in Sourcing Operations will support data related projects and programs under the direction of the Sourcing Operations team. The Data Specialist’s primary responsibility is facilitating department reporting (dashboards, key performance indicators, etc.) as well as general purchasing analysis needs.  Additionally, this role will serve to support Ivie’s purchasing groups with data intensive tasks (i.e. run list management and analysis) as well as evolving technology needs (ordering systems, tracking systems, etc.).

     

    The Data Specialist is expected to possess strong technical data management skills and the ability to take direction from various department leaders.  Experience with database management and developing structured data queries and reports is preferred.

     

    Ivie expects that the Data Specialist will act at all times to maintain the highest level of ethics, professionalism and personal performance possible.  The Data Specialist must be receptive to growth and change and take a curious and objective approach to new processes & technologies. He/she will work enthusiastically to meet or exceed all performance goals set by Ivie and will fully support Ivie’s relationship with its Clients. When required, the Data Specialist must meet directly with Ivie’s Clients and exhibit a sense of professionalism and urgency and exude confidence in being an industry leader in his/her category.

    Responsibilities

    Job Expectations

    • Focus on the organization and management of data from various sources (i.e. Project Management System, Supply Chain, Media Technologies, Research Data, etc.).  The Data Specialist will be tasked with helping to develop and execute various reporting needs.
    • Exhibit advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience using Excel to standardize / analyze third-party or user-produced data.
    • Support technology development and maintenance initiatives that evolve from Sourcing Operations.

    Job Requirements

    • The Data Specialist must understand how to work with, analyze, report and output various forms of data. 
    • The Data Specialist will be challenged to offer suggestions and solutions around data management and usage strategies for the fulfillment of department and client needs. 
    • Experience with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Understanding and Proven Execution of Database Management, Query Writing, and Reporting
    • Experience with print project management software
    • Must perform their duties as assigned
    • Laser printing devices
    • Basic understanding of remote conductivity to communicate with Ivie headquarters

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • 2-4 year college degree or equivalent
    • Ability to speak, read and write in the English language
    • 2-3 years experience in print purchasing or equivalent Ivie experience
    • Strong knowledge of production processes for his/her category
    • Strong knowledge of print/paper/logistics industry practices

     

    Skills Required

    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Experience with print project management software
    • Laser printing devices
    • Basic understanding of remote conductivity to communicate with Ivie headquarters


    Travel

    • Travel as required
    • Temporary assignments (out-of-town)
