    Job Overview
    The primary role of the Assistant Media Buyer is to assist media buyers, media supervisors and media director in the implementation of client media campaigns.

    Ivie & Associates expects that the Assistant Media Buyer will act at all times to assure the highest level of ethics, professionalism and personal performance possible.  He or she will work enthusiastically to meet or exceed all performance goals set by Ivie & Associates, and will contribute his or her utmost to assist Ivie & Associates in achieving its stated goals. Ivie & Associates, Inc. expects that all employees, including the Assistant Media Buyer, to fully support Ivie’s position/relationship with its Clients.  


    The Assistant Media Buyer is expected to:

    • Research and organize information to build media buys and media orders
    • Work closely with media buyers and supervisors on media campaigns.
    • Work with outside media sales representatives and maintaining professional relationships to best serve the client.
    • Develop and place media buy orders
    • Develop and maintain budget summaries
    • Develop and maintain weekly media schedules
    • Create weekly run list for printed materials
    • Task oriented and able to meet deadlines that are set
    • Communication skills/Ability to work as part of a team
    • Flexibility in order to work within changing deadlines and tasks


    Education and Experience

    • 4-year college degree or equivalent in marketing or advertising
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Organizational skills
    • Must be very detail oriented


    System Skills Required

    • Proficient computer skills (MS Office)


    • Travel as required
    • Temporary assignments (out-of-town)
