    Job Overview
    The primary role of the Broadcast Production Manager will be to facilitate broadcast (TV/video, webcast, and radio) projects for national accounts.

Ivie & Associates, Inc. expects that all employees, including the Broadcast Production Manager, to fully support Ivie’s position/relationship with its Clients.


    The Broadcast Production Manager is expected to:

    • Have knowledge of broadcast pre-production, production, post-production and delivery methods
    • Have knowledge of current technologies utilized in the broadcast realm
    • Understand media plans, tactics and schedules
    • Have knowledge of media distribution channels in order to properly traffic content to stations and networks
    • Create accurate traffic instructions to stations/networks
    • Understand current SAG/AFTRA rules and regulations regarding talent compensation
    • Understand licensing agreements for music, footage, and imagery
    • Develop project budgets, estimates, timelines and task lists
    • Write and submit proposals for vendors to bid on projects
    • Negotiate with vendors to request project estimates and maximize cost efficiencies
    • Review film, recordings, and vendor submission reels to ensure conformance to agency production and broadcast standards
    • Cast talent
    • Manage postproduction processes to ensure accurate completion of project
    • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing reports, formatting/routing scripts, arranging for pre-production meetings and edit reviews, processing of vendor invoices, and reconciling jobs for final invoicing.
    • Maintain complete production files for historical reference, including legal releases and negotiated usage rights
    • Maintain agency broadcast library, storage of masters, updates to Agency reel as needed
    • Manage multiple project timelines and budgets simultaneously
    • Route creative materials for both internal and external client approval
    • Communicate with client service teams, clients and vendors during all stages of project(s)
    • Pull client competitive spots when requested
    • Handle setup, operation, or technical assistance in regards to internal video productions or A/V equipment used for meetings working closely with IT team
    • Film internal projects using HD digital video cameras, lighting and audio equipment
    • Edit digital video using Adobe software
    • Manage team of broadcast supervisors that are primarily responsible for weekly radio production
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor


    Education & Experience

    • 4-year college education or equivalent
    • Ability to speak, read and write in the English language
    • 5+ years experience in broadcast production as a producer
    • Desire to continue education through trade shows, seminars, special courses, etc.

    System Skills Required

    • Consistently demonstrate the ability to understand and use:
      • Mac Based hardware/software including (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge and experience with video and audio recording/editing software
    • Laser printing devices
    • Basic understanding of remote conductivity to communicate with Corporate office from remote locations



    • Travel required as specified by supervisor
