    Job Description

    The Digital Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the database. The Digital Asset Management Specialist will also be responsible for the planning and development of the database as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

    Job Expectations

    The primary role of the Digital Asset Management Specialist is to define structure, workflow and permissions to qualified data as well as assure Users can access current data efficiently from multiple locations.

    • Establish the needs of Users, provide access and monitor performance to provide a better user experience.
    • Define and maintain data structure, metadata and search terminology.
    • Document database communication, standards and procedures.
    • Control access permissions and privileges.
    • Review workflows and automations for improvements.
    • Refine processes and provide training to Users.
    • Review reporting to identify low usage assets through audits, purge data of expired assets.
    • Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
    • Commission and customization of existing application to keep current with Client needs.
    • Schedule installation and testing of updates. 
    • Demonstrate the ability to handle many issues, items and functions at one time and deal rapidly with multiple items in prioritized sequence.
    • Demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving as well as the ability to act on own initiative.
    • Demonstrate the ability to perform well and remain organized under tight deadlines with willingness to do both menial tasks and take on more complex challenges.
    • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to help others achieve their best, take direction from management and maintain positive attitude.
    • Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.


    Job Requirements

    Education and Experience

    • 2-year associate degree or equivalent in Digital Asset Management or Library Science
    • Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
    • 5 years of experience in Mac based applications
    • Knowledge of offset and digital printing standards
    • Knowledge of web based display and multi-media requirements
    • Desire to continue education through webinars, seminars, special courses, etc.

    System Skills

    • Consistently demonstrate the ability to understand and use:
      • Excel
      • Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud, including Bridge
    • Canon laser printing devices, Epson proofers
    • Basic understanding of remote networking to communicate between locations  (Box, FTP, Server structure)
    • Basic understanding of the following a plus:
      • Workflows and automations through coding / logic statements
      • Database terminology, architecture and relationships
      • Permission based access control systems 


    • Travel as required by supervisor
    • Temporary assignments (out-of-town)
