Job Description
Marketing Team Lead is expected possess in-depth understanding of Client’s business objectives and business practices. Think and act as a leader of the work group, department or larger project groups. Evaluate and monitor the quality and performance of all projects under scope of responsibility. Support the team on various projects and tasks specific to the Client’s needs. Support includes project management and workflow process through both Client and Ivie departments.


Marketing Team Lead is a full-time position that reports into the Marketing Operations Team. The Team Lead partners with the Brand Marketing team to execute companywide Brand and seasonal campaigns. They are responsible for all project execution for the Global Brand Team.


Job Overview

Ivie expects that the Marketing Team Lead will act at all times to ensure the highest level of ethics, professionalism and personal performance possible. He/She will work enthusiastically to meet, or exceed any and all Client needs, as requested. The Marketing Team Lead must possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with the Client on a daily basis and attend regular planning meetings and provide detailed written confirmation/reports. He/She should possess an awareness of Client and Ivie services and capabilities with a strong knowledge of marketing and end to end project management. The Marketing Team Lead is also expected to develop an understanding of the Client’s overall business environment, competition, company goals and processes/procedures.


The primary role of the Marketing Team Lead is to direct teams and lead anticipate issues and be a strong problem solver in managing the Client work process and workload. Able to lead and execute all Client needs in and around the Client marketing department and/or other departments which Client supports. Display positivity in all engagements with others (at all levels), to demonstrate Ivie culture and ideals.


The responsibilities include: managing a team of cross-functional project managers, managing budget for designated portfolio, define scope, deliverables and roles and responsibilities with stakeholders. Define portfolio of work-streams and projects to bring programs to life.



Job Expectations


The Marketing Team Lead is expected to:

  • Ability to think strategically and tactically to meet Client’s needs, to improve current services or to deliver new services
  • Actively participate in high-level meetings with Clients leadership teams
  • Assist in developing Client presentations for management or departments
  • Identify process challenges and work within Client and Ivie teams to solve and develop solutions
  • Ability to understand and manage the execution of tasks to achieve Client’s marketing goals
  • Have full understanding of both Client and Ivie workflow processes
  • Anticipating Client needs and providing necessary support for management & execution of all projects/campaigns
  • Lead and coordinate effectively with other Client agencies and Vendors
  • Understand project strategy and ensure Ivie support is aligned. Determine additional support opportunities, based on overall campaign goals. 
  • Direct and drive processes and projects and work proactively to ensure all jobs are executed efficiently and effectively. Work with internal Ivie departments to ensure all Client needs are met.
  • Build strong relationships within Client environment and marketing department
  • Design and implement processes to monitor and control resources, budget, risks and quality
  • Assign/monitor work as needed, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee all portfolio activities which may be within or across cross functional areas of Marketing
  • Build constructive business relationships with all marketing stakeholders, including 3rd party vendors
  • Identify, analyze and prioritize project risks and impact of risks on all projects
  • Develop a communications plan to update marketing stakeholders on progress & implementation
  • Work with creative, print production and content teams on creative development
  • Partner with paid media teams to drive traffic and transaction through program strategy
  • Work with customer care, loyalty, CRM and all digital teams to integrate programs into web, social & mobile platforms
  • Manage all program related documentation like progress reports and presentations
  • Brings visibility to a Portfolio by creating a holistic calendar and health tracker


Job Requirements


The Marketing Team Lead is required to:

  • 4-year college education or equivalent
  • 5+ years of marketing and/or ad agency experience, preferably in retail, food or packaged goods industry
  • Lead teams and manage workflow across departments and vendors.
  • Support Client objectives and utilize resources effectively to solve problems and complete work goals.
  • Collaborate with Client team to provide recommendations (including efficiencies, cost savings, etc.) for execution of projects.
  • Ability to develop and present accurate and engaging presentations to leadership teams
  • Ensure over-communication of project status including tracking and delivery verifications.
  • Work directly with Ivie Operations, Corporate Services, Creative, Media and Production to ensure all Client quality standards are met.
  • Clearly understand support roles to ensure Ivie support is appropriately aligned with Client needs. 
  • Engaging personality who will be proactive and think critically in all situations.

  • Retail Marketing experience including Digital Marketing and Loyalty programs

  • Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Energetic, friendly and self-motivated attitude
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
  • Experience with printing, and production
  • Agency and or related retail advertising experience desired
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
