Job Overview

The Account/Production Manager is to work closely with the Client to understand their marketing goals and objectives, provide leadership and tactical support to insure projects are coordinated with accuracy and follow through, and serve as key client contact for all projects and initiatives that Ivie is awarded. They are also responsible for the organization and management of Ivie’s production team within Ivie & Associates, Inc. from start to print ensuring high level of efficiency and productivity while responding to client demands and ensuring high quality service.

 

Ivie & Associates expects that the Account/Production Manager will act at all times to assure the highest level of ethics, professionalism and personal performance possible.  He or she will work enthusiastically to meet or exceed all performance goals set by Ivie & Associates, and will contribute his or her utmost to assist Ivie & Associates in achieving its stated goals. Ivie & Associates, Inc. expects that all employees, including the Account/Production Manager, to fully support Ivie’s position/relationship with its Clients.

Responsibilities

Production responsibilities:

  • Manage the production process of weekly circular, signage, ROP and other printed material.
  • To ensure that equipment, materials and staffing resources are available and to be responsible for planning of work schedules to ensure that production targets and deadlines are achieved, with regards to customer requirements and service objectives.
  • To contribute to initiatives to improve the efficiency and productivity. Develop and refine process to increase productivity of production department without decrease in quality.
  • Serve as liaison between production and other departments and represent department in client meetings.

Account responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing objectives, strategies and execution for current services or prospective services that may be offered to the Client in the future, consistent with Ivie’s approved processes.
  • Develop and manage project timelines and task lists.
  • Coordinate and manage on-site staff.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • To encourage and motivate performance, generate and sustain the enthusiasm and commitment of staff and develop a positive environment.
  • Evaluate and monitor the quality and performance of all assigned Client services provided to the Client(s) by Ivie.
  • Maintain contact and develop a relationship with Client’s management.
  • Adhere to established processes and procedures to insure timely and accurate delivery of Client’s services.
  • Keep Ivie Management informed regularly of events/issues that could impact client relationship.
  • Think strategically and tactically to meet Client’s needs, to improve current services or to deliver new services. Be aware of and promote new potential Ivie services with the Client.
  • Analyze and judge prospective projects, jobs and services for presentation to the Client.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • 4-year college education or equivalent
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish
  • MUST have an extensive background working with and understanding the Hispanic consumer
  • Minimum four years in Client Services or equivalent
  • Experience leading teams and managing work teams
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • 8 plus years of experience as a Mac Operator and Production Manager or equivalent
  • Desire to continue education through trade shows, seminars, special courses, etc.
  • Accuracy in page building and error free postscript documents
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform well and remain organized under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of printing, prepress, digital, and film output processes
  • Knowledge of technical solutions and troubleshooting techniques
  • Expert familiarity with visual design process and visual design principles
  • Knowledge of automation with regards to print production

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marketing background strongly desired
  • Operational thinker and process-oriented mindset needed
  • Demonstrated history of Project Management ability

 

System Skills

  • MAC Based hardware/software systems
  • Laser printing devices
  • Basic understanding of remote conductivity to communicate from various locations
  • Error-free Postscripting
  • Graphic Design Software:  Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Suitcase, Stuffit and Microsoft Office, Archiving and Backup Procedures

 

 

Travel

  • Travel as required
  • Temporary assignments (out-of-town)
